From Beirut, Lebanon to New Haven, CT, the music is inspired by international and local influences, and the project is brought to life by Rudeyna (Herbie Hancock, B.Balusubarhmaniyan, the Stepkids), Bill Readey (Pencilgrass, M.T. Bearington), Kenny Owens (St. Bernadette, Pocket Hotties), Adrian Vandegraaff (Titles, The Way Down, Trey Anastasio, Snake Oil), and Scott Packham (Oh, Cassius!). Like Freddy Mercury co-writing with Thelonious Monk, Nina Simone starring in Ziggy Stardust, or T. M. Thiagarajan composing for Charlie Chaplin.
Sarah Golley’s music is that of emotional dissonance with harmonically pleasing resolutions. With powerhouse vocals, a keyboard, and live-loops, she weaves elements of theater, pop, folk, jazz, classical, choral, electronic, and progressive genres with raw lyricism that inspires introspection, and a sensitivity that draws the listener in.
