Ticket To Ride Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Sgt. Peppers
June 2 @ 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
41 Bridge Street invites you to join us as we celebrate the 50th ANNIVERSARY OF SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND with New England’s premier Beatles tribute band, TICKET TO RIDE!
The eighth studio album from The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band marked a pivotal shift not only for the group, but for the entire medium of popular music. The critically acclaimed album blurred the line between commercial music and fine art, and became an important precursor for the burgeoning genres of psychedelia, art-rock, and progressive-rock. Released on June 1st, 1967, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is one of the most significant and influential albums ever recorded, and on Friday, June 2nd, 2017 (8 pm)–fifty years and a day later–we will be celebrating this monumental musical moment with our favorite Beatles recreation, TICKET TO RIDE!
Ticket To Ride:
While many Beatles tribute bands focus on the iconic look of the Beatles, Ticket To Ride seeks to faithfully replicate the Beatles one-of-a-kind sound and breathtaking harmony, and recapture the famous guitar and drum arsenal. Ticket To Ride, comprised of four experienced Connecticut-based musicians, delivers on their promise of an authentic Beatles look and sound: Joe LaRoche lends his strong vocals to the role of Paul McCartney, Dave Geisler cannily evokes George Harrison with near-perfect lead guitar performances, Ron Cataldi keeps the beat as Ringo did (and sings too, everyone loves when Ringo sings!), and Todd Meikle rounds out the foursome as a perfect John Lennon with superb vocal harmonies and funny quips throughout the show. Performing such classics as “All My Lovin,” “Eight Days a Week,” and “I Saw Her Standing There,” Ticket to Ride brings the Fab Four to life in their own unique way!
Fans of the Beatles, young and old, you won’t want to miss Ticket To Ride’s Celebration of Sgt. Pepper’s 50th Anniversary! Tickets are $20 for General Admission and $25 for VIP. Doors open at 7 pm.
