Police: ‘Evidence of arson’ found at Naugatuck house fire

NAUGATUCK — There were indications that arson was linked to a recent house fire, according to the fire department.

Police and firefighters responded to a North Hoadley Street home around 2 a.m. Aug. 25 for a possible fire, according to the police department.

First responders found the siding burning on the outside of the home and extinguished the flames. Investigators found “evidence of arson,” police said.

While investigators believe the flames were intentionally set, there was no suspect in custody as of Tuesday morning.
