Police: Shooting in Stratford that injured 1 an ‘isolated incident’

STRATFORD — Police said a Thursday night shooting was an isolated incident, and urged anyone with information to come forward.

The call came in around 8:30 p.m. for a shooting on Birch Drive, police said.

Police found a female gunshot wound victim near the intersection of Birch Drive and Gregory Circle.

The victim was taken by medics to the hospital, where she was in stable condition Friday, police said. Officers interviewed several witnesses at the scene.

Police described the suspect as a “male last seen wearing all dark clothing.”

The investigation is ongoing.

Investigators said it was an “isolated incident” and there is “no threat to the general public.”
