Stratford PD: Couple used stolen debit card at Home Depot, Walmart, BevMax

STRATFORD — A couple used a stolen debit card to buy hundreds of dollars worth of items from Home Depot, Walmart and BevMax, police said.

The couple picked up a wallet after it was lost by a man at Home Depot on Oct. 3 around 11:30 p.m., according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.

The couple used his card to buy $361 worth of items from Home Depot, Eannotti said. He said they next spent $742 at Walmart, buying a 65-inch television, before spending another $127 at a BevMax liquor store, Eannotti said.

The man is described as white, about 5-foot-8, 160 pounds and about 35- to 40-years-old.

He was seen wearing a white baseball hat with sunglasses on top of them, a blue jacket with a fluorescent yellow inner hood and trim on the sides with dark blue sleeves. He was also wearing a white T-shirt, a gold chain, blue shorts, short black socks and blue running shoes.

The woman is described as white, about 5-feet-5, 135 pounds and about 35- to 40-years-old. She has long hair. She was seen wearing a long-sleeve shirt with a hoodie, gray leggings and black Nike running shoes.
