Former Quinnipiac teammates Connor Clifton and Devon Toews are in select company during this year’s NHL Playoffs.
The defensemen joined Andy Greene and Alec Martinez, 2005-06 Miami (Ohio) teammmates, as the only set of former college teammates among the 22 defensemen from United States college programs with goals in this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs.
Clifton has one goal for the Bruins, Toews one goal for the Islanders. Greene (Islanders) and Martinez (Vegas) have one goal each.
