Three players with ties to Connecticut have been signed to NFL practice squads.
Former Yale offensive lineman Dieter Eiselen signed with the Chicago Bears according to his agent Joe Linta, former Norwich Free Academy star Tuzar Skipper was picked up by the Tennessee Titans while quarterback Jake Dolegala, who starred at Central Connecticut State, was added to the New England Patriots practice squad.
Eiselen, a member of two Ivy League championship teams with the Bulldogs, was signed by the Bears after not being taken in the 2020 NFL draft.
Skipper, a linebacker, played six games for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019. He was in camp with the Steelers this year but failed to make the opening game roster.
Dolegala made the 2019 Cincinnati Bengals roster as an undrafted rookie free agent after throwing for 2,221 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions as a senior with the Blue Devils.
Dolegala was 10 of 12 passing for 94 yards and two touchdowns in a 25-23 preseason loss to the New York Giants on Aug. 22, 2019 and then was 27 of 41 for 253 yards in a 13-6 loss to Indianapolis in the 2019 preseason finale. He returned to the Bengals in 2020 but was cut during training camp.
